The cabin interior systems integration team for the business aircraft is a dynamic team that ensures the proper functioning of all electrical, cabin management and telecommunications systems including lighting systems, audio and video entertainment, appliances, cameras, security and power distribution.

As a Harnesses installation Designer/Integrator, you will be joining the completion engineering team responsible for Business Aircraft Cabin systems. You will be responsible to design and integrate systems by designing the harnesses and the required installation drawings.

In your role, you will:

Review, analyze and understand customer specification documents (Catalog option, Work Authorization, P&O/C&O Interface agreement sheet, Floor plan variability …) * Read and understand electrical requirement and definition documents (Electrical Schematics, wiring diagrams, interface drawings…)

  • Develop electrical harness installation drawings (3D and 2D) and detail parts drawing (sheet metal)
  • Draft technical documents
  • Perform basic engineering tasks
  • Take charge of change requests made by the Production team as well as proposals for change made by customers. (RFC, RFQ and PCR …)
  • Provide estimates and statements of work for design-related activities
  • Provide production support and answer promptly to raised issues according to their assigned priority level
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to our partners and ensure the engineering documents are as per Bombardier standards
  • Support governances for new projects and provide regular progress status and technical roadblock
  • Keep an open and innovative mindset to implement improvements in a continuous improvement spirit.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

You have a Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of experience with aircraft electrical systems. * Knowledge of CATIA V5 is required and MS Office tools

  • Bilingual (French – English) written and spoken
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Proven record of leadership and technical problem solving
  • We favor candidates with previous experience in electrical design for the interior of business aircraft.
