Job description: WorkInCulture is looking for a people-oriented person with an interest in arts and culture. This person thrives on working as part of a team but can also undertake independent projects. They are organized, pay attention to detail and are excellent at verbal and written communication. They work well under pressure and enjoy the challenge of responding to the unexpected.
This is a position that will receive a lot of on-the-job training for someone with some work experience (1-2 yrs) and/or are a graduate of an arts administration course or a non-profit/charity management course.

Roles and Responsibilities
Programming
- Assists with program and special project development and delivery including handling event logistics (securing venues, arranging catering) coordinating registration, making travel arrangements, and other duties as needed
- Assists with the development and maintenance of the eLearning site
Marketing
- Assists with social media strategy, including scheduling of posts
- Assists with creation of content and copy for the website, social media and enewsletters
- Provides customer service support for the WorkInCulture job board, and does outreach to potential posters
Administration
- Assists with the coordination of board and committee meetings and the Annual General meeting
- Responds to general inquiries by telephone or email or relays the inquiry to the appropriate person
Requirements:
- A creative thinker and innovative problem solver
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An aptitude and interest in social media and communications
- An aptitude for all things digital (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SEO, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Later)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- An interest in event managament
Additional Info: This is a full-time position with a hybrid working environment of remote, the WorkInCulture office in downtown Toronto, and off-site programming with occasional overnight travel throughout Ontario.
