The Scope:
This is a development role for someone seeking a career in Purchasing
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, and indirectly to the Non-Food Buyer the Logistics Coordinators main purpose is to streamline and manage distribution procedures to our Hotel Brands. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to capital orders and new hotel openings, in addition to the skill of anticipating roadblocks and delivering improved service performance. He or she will work with Purchasing to provide great communication and solution to service to more than 60 Hotels within the Northland Hotel Brands in Canada and the USA. Core Responsibilities:
- Support Operational Requirements
- Work with Hotel Distribution to resolve supply issues for all Brands,
- Ability to build professional partner supplier relationships
- Improve service Levels to All Brands Fill Rate % On Time and Priced Correctly
- Manage Brand Standards for all 3 Hotel Brands
- Work with the entire Purchasing team to source solutions for our Hotel group
- Manage Capital orders each year for Hotels
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of distribution experience (either in food service or hospitality)
- Ability to problem solve quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Proactivity ability to see ahead and to create higher levels of service
- Excel and Word proficiency
- Excellent Communication skills
