As a Quality Coordinator for our Ottawa district, you will contribute to our team by:

  • Reviewing prime contract and subcontract details for specifications and requirements.
  • Conducting quality activities aligned with project scope as per the contract terms and conditions.
  • Reviewing the project specifications and identifing quality requirements.
  • Performing visual examination, witnesses, monitors, and documents as per project quality and inspection testing plans (ITPs).
  • Observeing functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Producing and/or collecting quality turnover documentation.
  • Acting as a liaison with craft/staff personnel to provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Identify and discerns root causes associated with nonconformances and reports to project team and quality manager.
  • Verifying trade contractor compliance to their quality program and contract documents.
  • Carrying out detailed research for quality assurance and quality control audits and actions.
  • Ensuring closure of all surveillance issues, quality audit findings, nonconformities, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Minimum 3+ years progressive construction related experience
  • Graduated from a recognized architectural, engineering or construction management program
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures
  • Previous experience in a quality role
  • Experience developing preventative and corrective actions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
