Job title: Road to Employment Program Co-Facilitator
Job description: The following position is hereby posted in accordance with Article 8 of the Collective Agreement between Saskatchewan Government Employees Union and Rainbow Youth Centre.
Description: Assist with the implementation of the Road to Employment program. To teach and facilitate a comprehensive life skills program, GED studies, and employment preparation skills. To arrange work experience placements for participants and to support learner drivers preparing for road tests.
Qualifications:
-2 years relevant education and/or experience in the human services.
-Knowledge and experience in facilitation of English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies an asset. Testing at time of interview will be done in the areas of Mathematics and English as these are paramount to the program (a pass is required).
-Training and experience as a life skills coach an asset.
-Group facilitation skills, knowledge of group dynamics and/or teaching strategies.
1 year experience facilitating required.
-Experience working with youth ages 18-25.
-Holds a valid drivers license (non-probationary).
-Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
-Networking.
-Experience with case management.
-Knowledge of community resources.
-Experience in providing group and individual counseling and support.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills including documentation and data entry.
-Ability to work as a team player as well as independently.
