As a Senior Advisor in finance process management, you will be part of the Finance Evolution team which is dedicated to transforming and modernizing the sector and more specifically, to upgrading finance processes, data, and systems.

As a Senior Advisor, Finance Process Management, you will work in a dynamic environment where you can excel and collaborate with all the Bank’s other Finance sectors. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and develop within multidisciplinary teams that value collaboration and innovation. This means gaining good knowledge of the Bank’s business processes and representing the sector in the Bank’s various initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Process Management, you will help resolve complex issues and propose strategies to support project execution and ongoing process improvements.

Your main challenges:

  • Help optimize, simplify, and automate financial and accounting processes
  • Contribute to and/or take charge of delivering business initiatives
  • Determine business needs, manage the impacts on the Finance sector, and recommend the best possible solutions
  • Manage priorities and ensure the profitability of improvements/solutions delivered based on the business value
  • Challenge existing business rules and work methods
  • Proactively communicate results, issues, and risks to management
  • Develop and facilitate workshops to redefine the activities of the sector’s teams
  • Help develop and disseminate information sessions on new processes

Required skillsÂ

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 6 years’ relevant experience or a Master’s degree in a related field and 4 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience deploying large-scale initiatives
  • Experience in process reengineering and continuous improvement
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to summarize information
  • Ability to work on a team and collaborate with other Bank sectors
  • French/English bilingualism necessary because you will regularly deal with partners located across Canada

Preferred skillsÂ

  • Title of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or equivalent experience, an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training, an asset
  • Knowledge of banking sector activities, an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting modules, an asset
