The Advanced Analytics & Insights team is focused on understanding and optimizing customer behavior on the website and mobile application as a key enabler for the company to move fast and iterate quickly on big business problems.
As a Senior Analyst focusing on Experimentation, you’ll work collaboratively with Product Management teams to design and implement A/B testing guidance and best practices. You’ll work closely with Data Science to identify optimal statistical methodologies to analyze A/B tests and integrate them into our experimentation tooling. You’ll also work closely with Engineering to build data pipelines, test results dashboards, and other experimentation tools, influencing and accelerating the development of our testing platform. There are significant opportunities for new team members to emerge as leaders, taking on additional projects and responsibilities with strong performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, execute and analyze A/B tests to make high-impact changes to the customer experience.
- Construct optimized code that massages information from multi-terabyte data sources including sales, clickstream, logistics, product, and customer databases to deliver business insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with all facets of the organization including product management, engineering, and creative design to identify the most impactful ways for data and analytics to drive decisions.
- Become the A/B testing subject matter expert to ensure our stakeholders analyze and interpret core business metrics, consumer behavior, and test results accurately.
- Develop data visualizations, including reports, dashboards, and analyses in Looker and GBQ to distribute data insights in an easily digestible manner.
- Work with the Analytics and Product leadership to define the business requirements for internal automation, experimentation platform needs, and A/B testing best practices.
- Identify optimal statistical methodologies to set up, run, and analyze experiments.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or other quantitative discipline; Masters preferred
- 1+ years of work experience in a relevant field, such as analytics or data science.
- Proficient knowledge of Python and SQL (incl. Aggregate functions, joins, etc.)
- Experience conducting quantitative analyses on large and complex data sets.
- Experience with experimental test design such as A/B testing
- Familiar with statistical concepts like peeking, false discovery rates, z-scores, confidence intervals
- Experience working cross functionally and preparing and delivering technical presentations to product managers and other stakeholders
- Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Google Data Studio, Tableau, PowerBI); experience with Looker a plus.
- Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ecommerce or retail analytics experience a plus
