Purpose:

The Senior Distribution Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day mail sorting and distribution activities of team and ensures the work is performed accurately, efficiently, and within the SLA timeframes. The Senior Distribution Clerk should possess detailed knowledge of the processes and procedures within this Unit to assist and support functions and activities that are assigned by their manager due to workload fluctuations or vacation/absences. The incumbent is also responsible for the provision of human, straightforward and knowledgeable service through daily interactions to foster a relationship of mutual trust and confidence with customers and other employees.

Accountabilities:

1. Possess and acquire knowledge and maintain up to date information of processes and procedures for the function and introduce new processes/procedures to team members as required

2. Support Assistant manager with delegation of assignments and tasks

3. Coordinate and execute regular and special mailings with accuracy and expeditiously, including the mail digitization process.

4. Provide quality assurance checks and oversight on key processes as required

5. Ensures service provided to customers is of the highest quality by ensuring timely responses and service level commitments to customers are met or exceeded

6. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

7. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Knowledge / Experience of mailroom logistics
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft – Excel, Word, Teams

Working Conditions:

The incumbent works in a production Mailroom environment. The position can be physical with the lifting of heavy objects/mailings etc. There can be stress resulting from tight deadlines and service obligations and requirements and changing role. Occasional overtime may be required

  • Hours of work 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Fully on site
