THE COMPANY
TalentSphere is partnering with a reputable and progressive company as they look to add a Senior Facade Specialist to their growing team. This company prides themselves in their delivery through a full range of services for the built environment.
You will be reporting to the Principal of Building Envelope Services, you will be liable for overseeing small to large scale projects while maintaining a high level of service for the Building Envelope practice. This involves leveraging technical expertise, working closely with the other service groups in the firm to ensure consistent, consolidated, and leading-edge service delivery.
THE JOB
Responsibilities Include:
- Work collaboratively with the Building Envelope leadership team
- Oversee and execution of projects within the realm of building envelope consulting such as existing building repair/restoration/renewal, condition and forensic assessment and the design and performance of building envelope systems for new buildings
- Provide technical expertise and guidance as a Project Principal leading small to large scale projects through effective management and coordination
- Ensure the effective management of project budgets through cost control methods, scheduling, and resourcing
- Actively participate in the mentorship of staff to grow the future leaders and key contributors of the firm
- Assist with the development of such templates, standards of practice and information sharing systems that will improve efficiency and the level of knowledge within the group
WHAT’S REQUIRED
- Minimum 8 years experience working in building science
- Bachelor’s degree in building science, engineering, or architecture
- Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Bluebeam
- Experience in the following programs Therm 6.3, Windows, WUFI, HAM, REFM, Mepla, and any of the various scheduling programs, and 3D building modeling software.
- Experience working with both small and large projects
- Has a broad range of experience with different building envelope types
- Up to date knowledge of energy standards, requirements, and insurance
- Driven and engaged individual; capacity to grow into a senior leadership role within the firm
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel
