Job Description
What will you do?
- Have the ownership of solution development, work with product SME on sub ledger solution design, unit testing, configuration/release management, deployment, post implementation verification and support.
- Follow Agile delivery mindset, coding best practices and DevOps stack throughout the development lifecycle
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for design, build, implementation and unit testing
- Interact with Product PM, Business Analysts and Business users and QA team during requirement elicitation, backlog grooming, development, functional and UAT testing
- Research emerging trends, develop knowledge and become subject matter expert resource, supporting development of application roadmap
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years experience as Technical Systems Analyst/Software Developer
- Hands-on experience with: ETL Design and implementation, Core Java, Unix Shell scripting, Oracle, Python, scheduling tools (e.g Stonebranch, Tidal, Control-M)
- SQL Query design
- Expertise with any ETL tool – Aptitude Developer Studio, Informatica, IBM DataStage, etc…
- DevOps tools – GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, Urban Code Deploy, etc…
- Good communication skills
- Critical thinker
- Have a team player mindset
- University degree in Math, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
Nice-to-have
- Previous banking/financial experience
- Oracle database query performance tuning
Job Summary Senior Technical Systems Analyst will be working within a team that is primarily focused on development and maintenance of a vendor (Aptitude) Sub-ledger application for RBC Capital Market’s front and back office systems. You will form part of an Agile team of technical/functional developers, business users, Business Analysts, QA Analysts and Project Managers working on enhancements and major program delivery solutions.
