Responsibilities
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of company’s strategic business plans.
- Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Analysts, Systems Engineers, and other Systems Architects.
- Collaborate with other Architects (Solution, Data, and Integration) to develop and maintain an overall architecture blueprint for the organization.
- Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing and future-focused IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
- Develop and manage an infrastructure capacity plan.
- Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a technology standards policy.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure and application development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase ability to innovate, cost effectiveness and agility.
- Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT application infrastructure, including analysis of innovation/cost reduction/agility opportunities.
- Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
- Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and application performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
- Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.
Top Skills Required
- Total # of Years’ Experience: 10+
- Extensive experience with developing strategic plans. Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis. Proven experience in systems design and development. Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Proven experience in developing enterprise and solution level architectural designs.
- Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
- Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Able to conduct research into application integration issues and products.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Preferred: Experience with Salesforce, Guidewire, Mulesoft, and/or Informatica MDM/IDQ
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
