As a Senior Technology Consultant you will be part of our World Class Assurance for Business team. You will be part of an engaged team of technical experts and go-getters. The World Class Assurance for Business team is focused on improving customer experience of individual subscribers across all TELUS services, by accelerating our response to incidents and automating fixes for the reduction in manual and operational tasks.

You will assist with the development/implementation/operations of our fault / performance management applications & underlay infrastructure.

You will leverage your technical and influencing capabilities to proactively collect, analyze, and resolve reliability-impacting issues across all TELUS customer’s systems & services, and help build the roadmap and strategy towards the automation of the resolution of repeat issues. In doing so, you’ll drive improvements in reliability, productivity, efficiency and internal partner satisfaction. You have a passion for driving change and delivering reliable outcomes for the business & customers alike.

Here’s how

  • Develop scalable, resilient & reliable reference architectures within various monitoring technologies and build incident management processes that are data-driven and automated
  • Configure systems and tools that will generate faster response times to incidents through correlation of key events
  • Design/implement infrastructure components (computing/SAN/network/security)
  • Drive event predictibility, self healing
  • Work & collaborate with our partners/vendors to drive towards AIOPS
  • Experience with Linux, MS AD expertise

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • You are recognized for your technical experience in driving technology to the next level
  • You are willing to share & learn from others
  • You have a sound understanding of Network management systems & data center infrastructure & its underlays (hypervisor /computing/storage/network/security)
  • You are sought out for your ability to develop / implement / support sound architectures with a willingness to continuously evolve your skills & knowledge
  • You are knowledgeable about incident management, problem management and change management processes and their best practices
  • You are a great communicator and are able to tailor your message to all levels of the organization

Great-to-haves

  • University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Administration
  • 3-5 years’ experience within fault/performance management system architecture/implementation/ support
  • Experience or certification, ITIL, TOGAF, CCIE, VmWare, HP
  • Experience with AIOPS applications & automation/self-healing
