We are currently recruiting Two (2) ambitious Technology Specialists to join our Consumer Devices and IoT team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Consumer Devices and IoT Products, you will be primarily responsible for Day0-Integration of product enablers and Day1-customer on-boarding of certified Consumer and IoT products.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for technically managing new device products including any Day 0 New Product Introduction (NPI) / New Technology Introduction (NTI) activities and managing end-to-end Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with multiple stakeholders
  • Technically lead and support transformation initiatives to optimize the end-to-end process for NTI/NPI-Day 0 and Day1 activities
  • Technically support and work in Self Organizing Teams (SOT) to develop/integrate new wireless enablers by working in an agile/scrum environment with team members adhering to our operational excellence, Blueprint of Success (Day0 integration, Day1 launch, and Day2 support)
  • Technically lead program certification activities related to 5G SA/NSA/LTE Consumer Devices and IoT products to meet customer and business requirements
  • Provide technical product expertise by leading the business & stakeholders to onboard and validate new wireless products, services, technologies and features to meet Bell’s requirements with a system thinking approach
  • Lead technical discussions on Bell’s Plan of Record (Access, Features & Services, SIM technology) with OEM on upcoming devices and during periodic technical roadmap meetings.
  • Lead technical cross functional engagement with other experts across Bell and OEM partners to assess, design, test and deploy new end-to-end technology, feature, service offerings
  • WTP Ambassadorship in the OS Change management council, which oversees iOS, Android, updates which impact Bell customers/services
  • Technical/business liaison, responsible for tracking testing progress, % completion, status updates on testing defects in our project/defect management system and managing OEM relationship

Critical Qualifications:

  • B.Eng./BSc or MSc in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in a wireless network, systems or device design/development role
  • Have a deep understanding of Bell’s businesses, products and services in order to lead and support Bell’s strategic imperative of driving growth with innovative technology on services on the highest-quality mobile devices within WTP’s Day0/1/2 framework.
  • Bell’s wireless networks (ex. LTE/5GNSA/SA/IMS) and services (ex. VoLTE/E911/WPAS/etc.) architecture/topology/call flows in order to identify and troubleshoot product issues in the context of an end-to-end solution, establishing the root cause and driving to resolution
  • 3GPP standards related to Bell’s network and services in order to ensure OEM devices meet regulatory requirements (PTCRB, ISED…)
  • Bell’s Plan of Record (Access, Features & Services, SIM technology) in order to lead technical discussions with OEM partners and Bell cross-functional teams
  • Familiar with and use of Qualcomm QXDM/QCAT, Accuver XCAL/XCAP, and other mobile logging tools
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to lead the assigned activities which involves internal/external team members
  • Experience in leading and facilitating cross functional meetings, workshops and process changes
  • Ability to leverage cross functional resources to lead an initiative or technical solution in a complex technology and business environment
  • Ability to conduct and leverage business analysis, both quantitative and qualitative to make effective decisions
  • Have the drive to create value-add solutions to help the team through your creativity and innovation
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Great communicator – Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, both written and oral
  • Proficient in Agile, Scrum and operational excellence frameworks
