Position and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and improving the site quality management system (QMS) to meet requirements of the corporate quality management program, ensuring regulatory reports are developed and submitted on time and in accordance with prescribed requirements.

Along with other site quality compliance and licensing process requirements, you will work with all site departments to ensure risk processes are managed and documented and change controls are administered. You will ensure both internal and external conformance and compliance audits are scheduled, facilitated, and completed as necessary, legal, and other requirements are monitored and communicated and that documentation and records are managed accordingly. You will also oversee the corrective action process and QMS non-conformance system.

In addition, you will deliver site QMS general awareness instruction to all Cameco and contractor personnel.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree. or diploma in a relevant engineering or science
  • A minimum of five years of combined relevant work experience in compliance and licensing, and quality systems, incident reporting, auditing, and investigation methodologies
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills
  • You are team-oriented with the ability to work independently

Assets:

  • Quality management diploma, or equivalent
  • Auditor or lead auditor training
