We are currently seeking a Sr. Director, Finance – Canada Lead to provide strategic partnership and objective guidance to business units. It leads cross functional efforts to enable forward looking, actionable insights with a focus on driving strategic value that influences key business decisions.

The Sr. Director, Finance is responsible for overall financial oversight and direction for the Canadian business representing over US$1B in revenue from medical products, distribution and services in the acute, long term care and alternative markets with 8 distribution centers across Canada. This role will oversee financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, tax and treasury functions including direct supervision of Managers and Accounting staff. The Sr. Director, Finance is a member of the Canada Leadership Team and actively participates in strategic planning and execution, assesses and reports out financial risks, liaises with the US parent corporation as well as CRA and other government entities as required.

Your Contributions to the Organization will be to:

Lead overall financial oversight and direction for the Canadian business

Prepare / consolidate monthly financial reporting including variance and financial statement analysis for the Canada business. Includes full P&L, Financial & Operational performance, key metrics and MBOs

Clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data and potential implications on future results

Business partner to the Canada Leadership Team including President, Sales, Marketing & Operations

Lead the annual budget and long-range planning processes, incorporating business initiatives, economic trends and operational effectiveness.

Align budget to business strategies and gain alignment from Medical Segment FP&A teams and Functional groups

Design and monitor internal controls

Develop reporting tools to evaluate and develop actionable data & measures progress

Understand market dynamics and competitors. Conduct complex analysis, synthesizes and summarizes implications to business using analytics and business understanding

The Job might be for you if you have:

Professional accounting designation (CPA) combined with a Finance or Business degree

10+ years related experience required

Strong business acumen with solid experience in business management, financial planning, performance

measurement and budgeting functions

Excellent people management skills including team building, mentoring and development, demonstrated ability to successfully people manage

Metrics driven; establish service standards and strive to exceed target results for the group

Exposure to internal control systems in a global organization

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Proven ability to meet tight timelines in an environment with competing priorities

Ability to work and thrive in a changing environment

Experienced with SAP and SAP Implementation and/or JDE
