Job title: Sr Engineer Pipeline

As part of Enbridge’s environmental, social, and corporate governance commitments, we are hiring an engineering project team to work with consultants to deliver the engineering assessment and related asset designs for hydrogen blending in the Gazifère network in Québec.

Note: This is a fixed term role for 2 years with the possibility of extension.

What You Will Do:

  • Deliver designs for pipelines associated with the Hydrogen Blending project
  • Ensure that all Pipelines work are completed by the required contractual dates
  • Manage and track all documentations through the consultation and discussion with customers
  • Coordinate with Pipeline groups for relevant design requirements and reviews
  • Coordinate with Operations and Construction groups for relevant design requirements and reviews
  • Develop the detailed scope of work for the engineering assessment and pipeline engineering designs.
  • Coordinate the data and information required for the consultants to deliver the scope of work.

Who You Are:
You have the following education and experience:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering/Applied Science with P. Eng Designation in Canada.
  • Six or more years of direct experience in Gas Utilities Pipeline Engineering Design including, but not limited to Pipeline selection of laying spread/methods, Pipeline installation design, Pipeline Maximum Operating Pressure Assessment and pipeline stress analysis and class locations.
  • Knowledge and application of related codes and standards related to hydrogen application.
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal.

Following are the preferred skills and experiences:

  • French language fluency.
  • PMP and/or MBA Designation.
  • Relevant progressive experience in safety & reliability, facilities integrity, or field operations.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, QRA, and HAZOP methodologies for assessing process safety.

Working Conditions
This role is comprised of 80% office work and 20% field work. A valid driver’s license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
