Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales Team/Account Managers in developing complex solutions to meet customer expectations in order to qualify and close sales opportunities.
  • Respond to RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs – creating proposed solutions with application drawings and related technical materials for presentation to prospective customers.
  • Be the solutioner and translator of complex technical information into compelling and understandable business propositions for the client.
  • Communicate complex technical solutions to technical & non-technical client base as well as internal provisioning team for implementation.
  • Conduct demo’s / presentations to both customer and internal audiences, communicating the functionality and benefits for specific TELUS International’s products, services and integrated solutions
  • Keep abreast of new developments in the industry by attending shows, conferences and engaging in forum discussions. Analyze TELUS products and services in comparison to those offered by the competition.
  • Engage with Technology primes to ensure solutions meet customer expectations and that solutions are priced out correctly

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated design expertise shall include Wide Area Networks, Voice Solutions, Contact Center Operations, Local Area Networks, Internet, IP Applications, Hosting and Enterprise IT Application services in order to provide complete technical consulting.
  • In depth knowledge of Voice and Data networking products, Complex data solutions, and network design including: Routing, switching, server, security, hosting, VOIP, Voice networks and associated premise hardware.
  • PC skills including Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet.
  • Ability to translate and communicate business opportunities into technical requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Contact Centre and Customer Premise Solutions (CPS) – Cisco, Avaya, WFM, QM, IVR and CTI services.
  • Detailed knowledge of IP Web technologies, particularly security, firewalls, VPN’s, web commerce, web architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience of the sales process – identifying and understanding customer technical needs relative to products and services.
  • Professional accreditation or certification:

Engineering degree or technical diploma with demonstrated experience. Certifications are appropriate from appropriate vendors such as Nortel, Avaya, Sun, HP, Cisco, Noble and Verint. From a Cisco perspective the CCNA or CCDA certification is considered the standard.

Equivalent experience:

  • 5-10 years technical/operations experience in, telecommunication and/or IT industry.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in CCO Industry.
  • Minimum 2 years in a pre-sales engineering role.
  • Previous Industry experience in Solution Development, Pre-Sales, Consulting or Customer facing technical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and understanding customer technical/business needs and translating them into viable integrated solutions.
  • Partnership or Consultative selling experience is an asset.
  • Experience in Contact Centre industry supporting one of the following verticals: Technology, Utilities, Gaming, Finance, and Telecom.

Supporting TELUS International’s global contact center operations, the successful candidate will be supporting new customer launches by reviewing requirements, delivering technology solutions across all domains (Voice, Network, Systems and Applications).
