Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities include:
- Technical ownership of all API Management platforms, oversight of design/development activities, and is the escalation point for execution and production issues
- API Management product roadmap development and identifying new business opportunities
- Facilitate strategic business and technology discussions providing thought leadership to varying audiences
- Engage executive stakeholders, line of business partners, and technology project team to facilitate decision making, identify risks, and examine potential impact
- Cooperation with Architecture and Security governance partners to develop policy and establish processes and patterns
- Financial oversight through management of technology costs including estimates, execution, maintenance, and run cost planning (Total Cost of Ownership)
- Establish, drive, and deliver on committed objectives, timelines, and budget
- Management and oversight of developers operating in Agile development pods
- Grow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Qualifications / Experience:
- Undergraduate Degree
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Experience working in a corporate environment navigating enterprise practices and process or similar institution
- Experience leading projects/programs from both a technical and delivery standpoint
- Experience in platform and product development
- Experience communicating effectively in oral and written form including executive communication, technical communication, and artifact creation/review.
- Leadership / People management experience
- Solution Design and/or Architectural background focusing on system integration, networking, security, orchestration, cloud services, etc.
- Relevant technologies include but are not limited to:
o RESTful APIs, webservices, API Security, AuthZ, AuthN, OAuth, Azure cloud, Kubernetes, Containers, JIRA, NodeJS, JBoss, Spring Boot, etc.
- Having a strong vision for the API management platform is an asset
- TOGAF certificate is an asset
