Structured Finance – Associate Director/Senior Analyst, CLO’s & Structured Credit – Toronto

Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director/Senior Analyst to join its Structured Credit group. The successful candidate will be based in New York, Chicago, Toronto, or Austin areas and be part of a team of analysts rating US Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs).

The responsibilities include monitoring ratings of US CLOs, which involves analyzing quantitative and qualitative factors influencing CLO performance, including portfolio analysis and cash flow modeling, understanding and applying relevant rating criteria, reviewing transaction documentation, preparing credit committee packages, and presenting rating recommendations to a credit committee.

In addition, Associate Director/Senior Analyst is expected to contribute to the publication of research reports and implementation of process and tools improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Two-Seven years of experience, preferably but not necessarily in structured finance.
  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, engineering, economics, etc.) is ideal but other degrees will be considered.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sense of ownership, and a drive to complete projects.
  • Interest in capital markets, structured finance, working with data and modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of VBA, SQL, Python is a plus but not required
