We are seeking a Data & Technology Student Analyst, who will work with the Business Management & Communications team in a fast-paced environment to support OMERS internal business teams and enterprise projects.
Candidates available for 8 months term preferred (Sept 2021 to April 2022) but all considered.

We are looking for a student who is well-versed in technology but with a creative side to help us with corporate communications and visuals related to technology (i.e. comic strips, corporate communications, etc.)

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with Data & Technology communications, such as creating and editing articles and content for posting on internal intranet site using SharePoint Online and creating content for digital walls
  • Maintaining and updating the Data & Technology intranet site using SharePoint Online
  • Assisting in the creation of marketing, promotional and training materials and content, which may include video creation and editing User documentation and proof-reading
  • Performing project-related activities, such as documentation and minute-taking
  • Develop short term working plans to ensure that project or assignments are met within specific time frames
  • May be asked to work on applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, Canva and Camtasia (video-editing)

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • We are looking for a student who is well-versed in technology but with a creative side to help us with corporate communications and visuals related to technology (i.e. comic strips, corporate communications, etc.)
  • University program, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Business and technology double major, Marketing with a background in technology or combined Business-Technology program
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Online, Canva, Camtasia, or PowerBi is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with strong problem solving ability
  • A willingness to learn new things, are a self-starter and have the ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Windows
  • Customer service skills to support users
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment and tactfulness when dealing with internal and external clients
