Taking Root is looking for a Marketing Intern to help the organization communicate its position as a global leader in tropical reforestation. This position will provide a great platform for someone looking to become a marketing and communications expert. This opportunity will help you hone skills such as stakeholder mapping, campaign planning and execution, and rebranding. This role will report to the Marketing Lead within the Commercial Department.

This is a full-time co-op position as part of the head office in Vancouver. Starting in September 2021, it will last for 4 months with the likelihood of extending to 8 months. Work is currently a combination of in-office and remote, with the Commercial Team meeting in the office one day per week. Compensation is between $600-750 per week, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Research & design a stakeholder map that captures information about Taking Root’s audiences
  • Develop and implement effective social media strategies that support marketing campaign goals
  • Co-develop marketing KPI’s and build reporting templates
  • Stay up to date on news and events in the forest and carbon industry, communicating vital information to the team
  • Coordinate the fulfillment of client marketing deliverables such as project reports, photos and videos
  • Support the creation of new marketing campaign ideas and plans
  • Support audience-focused blog and newsletter copywriting
  • Support implementing Taking Root’s rebrand process including the building of a new website
