AWS AI is looking for a technical program manager to drive examples engineering for developers using SageMaker, AWS data services, and other AWS AI products.
In this role as a TPM on the SageMaker Examples Engineering team, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff at AWS and external partners to bring innovative ML samples to market. This position requires excellent leadership skills, strong technical expertise, and hands-on project management skills.

Key job responsibilities

• Work with key stakeholders in product management and engineering to ensure requirements are translated into actionable roadmaps
• Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs against developer experience and time to market
• Drive engineering and integration decisions and timelines across multiple teams and organizations
• Establish business processes and policies, as well as metrics and indicators for success
• Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet business goals

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience
· 3+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/project management
· Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets
· Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
· Experience managing SW development processes and milestones, including waterfall and agile methodologies
· Must have been involved with the launch of end-user facing software products or services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s degree or advanced technical degree
· Creative leader with superior analytical abilities
· Product development (including Python, C++, Java, messaging protocols, and Web Services), and service-oriented architecture experience
· Experience with ML examples in Jupyter notebooks
· Experience with CI/CD testing of examples
