The opportunity

Our Corporate Finance team in Toronto is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference.

As a Vice President, Corporate Finance Debt Advisory, you will report to the Managing Director of KPMG Corporate Finance’s debt practice and have significant experience in Corporate Finance or a related field and be part of a diverse, high performing team.
What you will do

  • Lead a range of debt advisory mandates concurrently and assume responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on projects.
  • Review complex financial and valuation models and financing structures.
  • Manage, mentor and train junior corporate finance professionals.
  • Undertake engagement and practice management responsibilities, including billings and adherence to professional practice requirements.
  • Lead proactive business development and deal initiation activities.

What you bring to the role

  • Business degree with 6+ years’ experience in Corporate Finance Debt Advisory, Debt Capital Markets, Commercial/Corporate Banking, or Private Debt.
  • Understanding of capital strategy and appropriate debt capital structures, including senior cash flow loans, asset backed loans, mezzanine and unitranche loans.
  • Experience negotiating credit agreements and indentures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and interpretative skills.
  • CPA, CBV, MBA and/or CFA designation is an asset but not required.
  • Must be willing to travel within Canada.
