Reporting directly to the President, the successful candidate will formulate a roadmap for the maturation of productivity suite, ITSM, unified communications, remote work, network infrastructure, workforce management, security and business continuity technologies that support our member businesses, and will bring extensive experience and industry knowledge to the table to take these systems to the next level.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of rationalizing discrete IT systems into a coordinated and well articulated product portfolio that meets the business need and sets the stage for the commercialization of IT products to internal stakeholders and external affiliated businesses.

Ability to manage a budget, prioritize action based on ROI and risk assessment and develop well articulated success measures aligned with need business outcomes are baseline requirements. A proven ability to enact meaningful change in a high-paced environment, with careful planning, deliberate and empathetic communication, and a drive to delight business stakeholders and enhance team reputation completes the profile of the desired candidate.

Key attributes for success are problem solving abilities, strong team leadership abilities, IT domain knowledge, structured approaches to change management, and experience owning a budget and operating a central service like a true business.

Essential Job Functions

  • Management of growing team of System Administrators and IT Managers. Must have proven ability to lead, set priorities and execute.
  • Ownership of the IT roadmap and budget and will formulate IT business cases and implementation plans, backed up by fact based metrics and financial data
  • Thought leadership in the following domains:

o Microsoft Office 365, on-prem and Azure Cloud Active Directory

o Virtualization, VDI, on-prem, managed and public cloud infrastructure

o Service measures, SLAs and reporting strategies to drive continuous improvement and capacity forcasting

o IT portfolio management, process management and build automation

o E-learning approaches to improve IT service adoption and security practice conformance

o Proactive monitoring and early awareness approaches in a diverse systems topology

o Unified Communications and cloud first telephony

o Full stack FortiNet, anti-virus, IDS and other WAN/LAN devices

o Backup mechanisms and related governance

o Security governance and threat management

o Print services and other business hardware

  • Planning, implementing, supporting, and maintaining all hardware, software, and infrastructure used for employee facing application delivery and productivity suite support
  • Managing change management processes associated with upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting or installation of new business applications and systems, including collaboration with business units, impacted customers, and technical teams
  • Structured approaches to facilities change management and people movement in a progressive hybrid work environment
  • Establish efficient IT provisioning process for new employees and contractors in a high growth environment. Process will include VDI, automation, SSO, asset tracking and well-defined onboarding materials
  • Back-office systems / ERP administration and management of any required upgrade initiatives Industry specific back-office systems will include TRAMS Back-office and Dynamics Nav primarily
  • Corporate WAN and LAN network oversight and will own strategic roadmap for remote connectivity, security and continuity governance and network topology
  • Measure and plan for controlled growth to support objectives of the enterprise. Find efficiencies, solve problems and improve execution of IT services through new methodologies
  • Establish service level benchmarks for all technology support functions and drive conformance to a published SLA through service measures

Qualifications

  • Experience with large scale IT projects (projects at 1 million budget level, minimum) and especially complex consolidation projects.
  • 10-15 years’ experience implementing and managing IT solutions, spanning Microsoft workgroup and productivity suite supporting technologies, virtualization, on-prem and public cloud
  • 10 years’ experience managing teams of information technology professionals
  • 5 years’ experience managing and delivering Microsoft 365 solutions including Azure AD
  • Ability to translate business needs into structured programs to deliver, including ability to manage projects and develop schedules, roadmaps, requirements, and task tracking with stakeholders that include business, and system administration leads
  • Deep engagement with industry developments to enhance the IT service portfolio
  • Knowledge of security and continuity fundamentals and governance

  • Empathetic and effective change agent, who shares information openly, broadly and deliberately in a collegial and engaged environment
  • Not risk averse, ability to try new approaches, accept and acknowledge areas for improvement, refine and iterate
  • Drive to get projects delivered on time and on budget
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
