Are you looking for an exciting paid summer internship experience? We are entering the 2nd year of our summer internship program developed to support our anticipated growth. Our summer program combines challenging work experience and the opportunity to work closely with our team members!
You are:
- A rising senior/junior, or ambitious rising sophomore
- Finance, accounting, economics, a business administration major
- Interested in learning more about the energy industry and gaining real-life experience
You will:
- Be assigned to one of our finance departments such as Tax, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Regulatory, Financial Systems, Treasury, or Internal Audit
- Receive hands-on experience with work that is valued by our leadership
- Have exposure to senior management
- Participate in networking events to help build professional relationships throughout the Company
- Give a formal presentation about your experience at WGL to our senior financial leadership team
- Have the opportunity to be offered a full-time position or second internship for summer 2024
You have:
- The ability to work from June 5 – August 11 (we are closed June 19 & July 4)
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- The ability to work onsite in Springfield, VA, or The DC Wharf offices
- Keen interest in Accounting and Tax, as we continue to build our talent pipeline in these areas, along with our other Finance disciplines
Our 2023 payrate is expected to be ~$26 per hour. Please indicate your anticipated graduation (MM/YY) on your resume.
