Job Description

As a Systems Analyst, you are a key member to the Gentek team! The Systems Analyst looks after day to day, monthly and annual reporting to support sales and distribution operations. The Analyst will also look after day to day system maintenance and pricing updates. Your objective is to develop and deliver timely and accurate reporting and analysis for Canadian sales and distribution using Power BI, while also providing daily support on our operating system.

Your key relationships will be with the Executive VP, Regional VPs, and Retail Sales Manager, as well as the Pricing Manager, Product Manager, and Corporate Accounting/Finance Team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting/Price Adjustments

• Develop and deliver forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis.
• Develop reporting tools to better facilitate communication between Sales and Operations to increase productivity and sales growth.
• Work with the necessary people from the accounting and finance departments to help with any regular month end reporting and ad hoc requests.
• Help merge all data flowing in from different sources to help with preparation of monthly P&L.
• Work with Pricing Manager to implement all price adjustments within the operating system, which could be costs, sell prices, discount maintenance, promotions.

Inventories

• Determines and coordinates physical inventories.
• Monitor cycle counts and obsolete inventory.

Other

• Working with plants and IT team on any mass system updates in Oracle.
• Help prepare and modify Inventory, In Transit and Obsolescence reports.

Education/Experience/Skill

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance would be preferred.
• Experience in distribution and/or building products and/or sales would be an asset.
• Computer proficiency – VBA, Microsoft Office – mainly Excel, Financial Systems (Oracle) and Distribution Software (AS400 platform). Experience with Power BI is essential for this position.
• Ability to flag numerical discrepancies, errors or any red flags within sales and operations.

• Composure – quick turnaround on requests under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skill required for timely execution of tasks.

• Perceptual Speed – in recognizing detail including error/accuracy
• Numeracy – extremely comfortable with quantitative concepts, handling numbers
