Purpose

The Analyst, Wealth Management Analytics & Insight will be responsible for leveraging EDL data to build/improve BI solutions for Scotia Wealth Management to provide various data support to the business. The incumbent is responsible for design, development and delivering scalable BI solutions with accurate business definitions on clients, household, assets, transfers, etc.

Accountabilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Design, develop, and deliver both client level and household level reporting and dashboard across all Wealth business lines – including Private Banking, ScotiaMcLeod, Scotiatrust, Private Investment Counsel and iTRADE.
  • Proactively manage analytics requests from Marketing team on marketing analytics, campaign strategy & measurement.
  • Proactively manage analytics requests from Product Strategy team on analytics needs through product lifecycle and provide success measurement for new product launch.
  • Proactively manage analytics requests from Sales team on leads management to support Lead Gen program.
  • Provide day-to-day data support for iTRADE CRM trigger emails, contact center SQM survey data needs etc.
  • Support special project(s) for any data or operational tasks to better support the client experience.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What you need to succeed

  • Required – University degree in Statistic, Finance, Marketing, Business Management or a related discipline
  • Excellent database mining skills, expert in SQL, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge about Sybase SQL is an asset, programing skills (R and/or Python) is an asset.
  • PowerBI skill is an asset.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex data, and be able to conclude meaningful insights.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented.
  • Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build high quality presentation material for senior management team.

Working Conditions

Working from home and Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence
