Job description: **This posting is for one (1) full-time temporary position ending on or before November 26, 2022**
The Edmonton Police Service is seeking a highly organized and competent individual to provide support to the Disability Management Team. Responsibilities will include:
- Reporting Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) incidents within legislated timelines.
- Calculate earnings information for WCB and confirm with EPS payroll.
- Perform timely review of medical aid incidents, classify and forward lost time incidents to Disability Management Consultants.
- Expedite referrals to the OSI clinic and treatment providers to avoid lost time claims.
- Review the weekly report on absences greater than 5 days.
- Manage incoming mail including Absent Report forms and other related forms/information and open and update claims as necessary.
- Administrative duties, including answering telephones, photocopying, scanning, shredding and other office related tasks.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Completion of the twelfth (12th) school grade including business subjects related to word and information processing and training in microcomputer applications or completion of an approved certificate program.
- A minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience in diversified word and/or information processing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and offer a high degree of customer service.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills required.
- Experience using PeopleSoft, CARM, Cority and WCB Portal would be an asset.
- Strong computer skills – ability to learn, administrate and manage other databases.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Proven high level of discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.

- As part of your pre-hire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hour of work program.
Salary Range:
21B, Salary Grade: 007, $22.36 – $27.76 (Hourly), $1,788.90 – $2,221.20 (Bi-Weekly), $46,689.77 – $57,973.32 (Annually).
