Job description: Summary

DecisivEdge is looking for Business Analyst in Technical Delivery who is responsible for oversight of the end-to-end client delivery process, Data management, including requirements elicitation, project updates, roadmap development, Data Management, client satisfaction, and client relationship expansion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather information from the client through existing documentation, interviews, meetings, system demonstrations, and side-by-side shadowing of personnel.
  • Organize the information and document the overall systems and their high-level functionality.
  • Discover and document business process flows, high-level system integrations, and data flows, Data management.
  • Document technical details of the systems – application and platform details, enterprise server and network diagrams, system architecture overview.
  • Identify and document key integration points with other systems internal and external.
  • Communicate directly with stakeholders to clearly define and analyze business requirements to ensure user expectations and business requirements clearly meet the project objectives.
  • Meet with the development team to analyze project technical documentation ensuring that the business requirements and business logic is captured and delivered accurately.
  • Work with the Application Development team to prioritize open stories, tasks, and bugs and participate in sprint planning.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to analyze test cases and ensure that all test cases for new functionality (functional test cases) and test cases for existing functionality (regression test cases) are comprehensive and complete resulting in flawless implementation.
  • Coordinate the setup of system integration, staging, and pre-production technical environments to ensure that configurations mirror production and identify risks if they do not
  • Drive internal and external meetings to achieve key milestones.
  • Assist project managers with tracking, delivery, and validation by customers for all deliverables
  • Work directly with the client project team and management in all phases of the project life-cycle
  • Work with the Customer Support team to track and communicate issues including timelines for and production release of issue
  • Identify and escalate project risks and effectively communicate to the project and account managers
  • Manage up as appropriate, even within the client’s organization.
  • Assist the client with User Acceptance Testing and project management as appropriate
  • Assist the client with proper issue communication and other customer or internal communication
  • Coordinate multiple teams within the client’s organization to ensure proper issue resolution and production implementation activities
  • Create Jira tickets for development requests
  • Helps determine the approach for new client projects and assignments
  • Leads functional teams or projects; provides task direction for more junior members of the team
  • Serves as best practice/quality resource within the discipline and/or as a technical expert on functional or cross-functional teams or projects

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or six-eight years professional related experience; or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.

Mandatory Skills:

An individual should have experience in Data Management.

Technical and/or Domain Knowledge

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise with the following:

  • Strong technical understanding of multiple types of enterprise systems on various platforms with the ability to understand and create process and system diagrams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities required
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a collaborative team
  • Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Travel

Travel to client locations with periods of extensive travel (up to 50% of the time) during project initiation and implementation activities.
