Job title: Shutdown and Maintenance Management Technician

Type of position: Regular

Work location: Mont-Saint-Hilaire

Description

  • Provide technical support to clients.
  • Plan and coordinate electrical shutdowns at client locations.
  • Develop maintenance plans in accordance with recognized standards (CSA Z463, NETA, etc.).
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance tests for clients.
  • Perform various types of tests on electrical power equipment.
  • Troubleshoot various electrical equipment (starters, motors, transformers, disconnectors, cables, busbars, controls, etc.).
  • Perform thermographic inspections.
  • Draft reports for maintenance, anomalies and follow-ups.
  • Ensure client satisfaction.
  • Comply with safety requirements and rules.
  • Monitor and manage projects.
  • Mentor new team members with electrical testing and equipment maintenance, etc.

Work schedule: 37.50 hours

Requirements

  • College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics Technology, Electrodynamics or equivalent education
  • From 8 to 15 years of relevant work experience
  • Available to work on site and at client locations all the time
  • Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance standards such as CSA Z463 and NETA MTS
  • Experience drafting calls for tender, proposals and technical specifications
  • Solid knowledge of electrical testing on power equipment, like transformers, generators, etc.
  • Very good knowledge of testing equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Bilingual (English/French – spoken and written)
  • Available to work across Canada
  • Asset: Journeyman electrician card
  • Asset: experience with programming and testing protective relays
