We’re seeking an Intern, Investment Administration, to partner with key stakeholders and peers to support and engage with our powerful networks of people, opportunities, and investments. ABOUT THE TEAM
Our teams manage trade settlement, reconciliation, cash management, collateral, securities lending and market events. They cover a broad area of activity, which allows them to cultivate extensive experience in public market operations. Our young, innovative teams seek to contribute to PSP’s investment success by engaging with various internal and external partners and upholding PSP values among team members.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As an Intern, Investment Administration, you’ll provide assistance in daily activities of the team:
- Daily cash margin reconciliation between the accounting system and the clearing brokers
- Reconcile the transactions between the accounting system and the clearing brokers as well as external managers
- Enter and verify transactions in the systems
- Confirm the transactions and payments with brokers / counterparties
- Solve all transactions settlement problems
- Provide operational support to the team during holiday periods
- Assist in other various tasks, as required
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of business administration (Finance or any related field)
- Academic knowledge of public market products (Fixed income, equities, money market, FX’s, derivative products)
- Good level of proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
- Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to look beyond surface facts and conduct comprehensive, fact-based, value-added research
- Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients
- Bilingualism required (fluency in French and English)
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, an asset
- Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
