Our expectations

The primary purpose of the Senior Developer, Information Security – IAM (Identity and Access Management) is to support the implementation and ongoing delivery of an access management application and its associated processes and automation to support our information security services. This includes executing and improving processes related to this application with limited instructions from other senior-level associates. The person in this role is responsible for resolving complex application issues and/or working with other IT teams that support the application infrastructure. The incumbent must have a strong understanding of the business requirements of the IAM team and of most tools and processes used in the application, including many of the key integration points with other parts of technology. They will need to be able to work independently.

Your role
Participate in defining needs (customers, analysts, etc.)
Code according to the documented specifications
Perform system unit tests
Take part in drafting and executing integrated system test scenarios
Draft functional and technical documents
Participate in deployment
Follow up during the post-implementation period
Participate in the training of support staff
Maintain application procedures and documents
Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations for best practices
Resolve complex IAM application issues covering technologies, business units, IAM services, automated provisioning, as well as process conception and optimization
Participate as a member of cross-functional teams to solve complex IAM service problems, creating and optimizing processes, and implementing new services and technologies
Collaborate with key stakeholders to make necessary changes to the application
Create and optimize frameworks and tools and lead assessments of application and business processes to help Lowe’s Canada integrate security services
The qualifications we are looking for
Diploma of College Studies or university degree in IT
At least 5 years of experience in system development, with experience as an application developer
Experience in the retail and distribution industries (an asset)
Knowledge of the Progress programming language (required)
Experience with the following systems:
Microsoft Exchange / Windows Active Directory
FIM – Forefront Identity Manager (Microsoft)
Visual Studio – Visual Basic
Scripting Powershell, MsGraph
SQL database
Leadership and team spirit
Strong analytical and summarizing skills
Ability to share knowledge and expertise in readily understandable terms
Ability to adapt easily to change
Customer-driven approach
Organizational skills, service-based approach, and concern for quality
Proficiency in French (spoken and written) and functional English (spoken and written)

Other competencies:

IT experience in the retail industry (an asset)
Relevant information security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CRISC, CISA, or others)
Problem solving and analysis
Effective communication
Excellent technical skills
