The inventory analyst is responsible for analyzing the main inventory discrepancies, explaining the causes, and formulating the necessary corrections. The analyst will also have to manage the space in the distribution center (product location) to maximize its effectiveness. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for analyzing certain continuous improvement and operations optimization projects.
Analyze the main inventory differences between SIDMA, EXCEED and any other internal system used by business partners and stocks in hand.
Monitor inventory movements, make corrections, if necessary, and prepare count samples for auditors according to the count plan and the various requests of our related departments.
Address all inventory investigation requests for internal and external customer.
Follow up on return goods with suppliers.
Make data entries in various systems.
Coordinate the entry / exit of merchandise to other distribution centers and check if the invoicing corresponds to the movement of stocks.
Balance the inventories of our satellite sites.
Participate in various continuous improvement projects.
Prepare and provide, if necessary, inventory reports in Excel format.
Manage damaged products and lost pallets.
Any other related task as assigned by the Inventory Supervisor.
Job requirements
1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
College diploma (DEC) in logistics or equivalent professional experience.
Relevant experience in a high-velocity Distribution Center environment is considered an asset.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a potential for rigorous follow-up of files.
Communication skills and ease of working in a team.
Ability to use computer systems related to inventory management.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access.
Bilingualism, French and English (spoken and written)
