PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

As the Talent Acquisition Administration Coordinator, you will provide support to the CP Talent Acquisition (TA) team. You will be primarily responsible for coordinating and supporting the team of Talent Acquisition Specialists on recruitment and selection processes and building talent pipelines. As a member of the Talent Acquisition Team, you will provide support for our student programs, career fairs, applicant tracking system, publications and branding, analytics, talent acquisition projects and processes. You will support the department in recruitment activities to drive the identification of the best potential candidates for our business.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Key accountabilities include recruitment process support, data management and communications.

  • Posting of job positions on both internal and external career sites, including diversity partner and niche career boards.
  • Assisting Talent Acquisition Advisors in calling candidates to schedule interviews.
  • Have a pulse on candidates as they move through the pipeline, while providing them with the high-touch candidate experience.
  • Ensuring accuracy of ATS data (making sure candidates are in the right place for reporting/metrics)
  • Assisting Talent Acquisition Advisors in booking travel, coordination of job fairs and outreach initiatives; ordering of CP branded materials to support recruitment activities and events.
  • Organize, attend and participate in both internal and external career fairs.
  • Create innovative and creative recruitment ads and print ads to attract a strong talent pipeline.
  • Provide updates on CP social media account for recruitment purposes.
  • Working closely with Health Services and outside service providers to ensure completion of required pre-employment processes including background checks, pre-employment medicals, and other processes relevant to the hiring process.
  • Liaising with Employee Services, Training Department and Payroll to process payments to candidates related to pre-employment training.
  • Central inbox and folder management.
  • Management and processing of vendor invoices in a timely manner.
  • Report on KPI’s and generate monthly, quarterly and annual metrics.
  • General human resources administration support to the Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Performs other duties, as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • University Degree in an applicable field or equivalent;
  • 1-3 years related experience, preferably supporting a unionized workforce;
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, or working towards the designation is preferred;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to frequently changing priorities and deadlines;
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as a part of dispersed HR team;
  • Ability to exhibit discretion in handling confidential / sensitive information;
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required.
  • Experience searching recruitment databases, screening and interviewing potential candidates is a strong asset
  • Being organized is a must as is strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Experience with SAP or an equivalent HRIS system is an asset.

Management Conductor Program:
