About You:

You are entrepreneurial, motivated and a proven people person. You love working with numbers and aren’t afraid to get into the details, with a demonstrated experience in full cycle bookkeeping.
About the Role:
In this in-office position, you will be responsible for the overall organizational efficiency of the office operations, including overseeing the cash flow for the company and ensuring that the highest level of customer service is consistently delivered. The Office and Administration Manager will be reporting to the Vice President. Your key responsibilities will include:
Accounting Duties (75%):
- Manage all operational bookkeeping aspects related to planning, directing, and controlling financials, including sending out invoices to clients and overseeing billing processes.
- Inputting new customers in Sage accounting program and maintaining the database.
- Managing our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable books to ensure all information is accurate and up to date.
- End to end management of our equipment rental program.
- Regularly liaising with Warehouse Manager on product issues and order requirements, while handling complex customer concerns an inquiries.
Administrative and Team Leadership Duties (25%):
- Supervising customer service personnel, including hiring, training, work delegation, and conflict resolution.
- Managing all Worksafe administration for each province.
- Preparing the internal newsletter for distribution.
- Training new office employees on the Employee Handbook and ensuring that current employees follow all policies and procedures as set out in the Employee Handbook.
- Working with the team to support any special projects as required, preparing the internal monthly newsletter, and overseeing the functioning of the office equipment.
Your Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in an administrative, bookkeeping or accounting role.
- Post-secondary education in business or accounting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and French is extremely important in this role.
- Strategic thinker with experience using MS Office and Sage.
- Proven people management and leadership skills.
- A positive and professional demeanour with the ability to effectively liaise with all members of the company.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems with a high level of personal integrity.
- Committed to providing superior customer service.
- Excellent time management, follow up, detail orientation and organizational skills.
