What you’ll be doing
The Coordinator, Compensation Administration assists members of the department by assuming responsibility for administrative support activities, ensuring that the department operates in an efficient manner. The role applies detailed knowledge of clerical and administrative tasks to perform a range of specialized clerical/accounting functions. You will ensure ongoing operation and administrative tasks are performed effectively and efficiently with all month end deadlines being met. Responsibilities include providing knowledge and guidance for commission related issues and projects (for Clients, Finance and Technology).

How You’ll Succeed
Coordination and effective client servicing – Ensure procedures and controls are adhered to. Monitor requests/issues as they are received in the departments’ mailbox and report/escalate issues and outstanding items directly to the Senior Manager of Volumes & Commissions (V&C). Analyze and identify technical commission issues to escalate for resolutions.
Procedures and controls – Preparation of Financial journals as well as expertise to produce moderately complicated reporting, attestations and issue resolutions. Familiarity with Audit, SOX Controls, and Disaster Recovery plan is preferred.
Projects and relationship management – Working with one or more internal/external partners and/or vendors, act as a partner in projects run by Global Operations to assist with any commission related issues. Coordinate with BFS (Broadridge) regarding scheduled system enhancements, remedy requests as well as involvement with UAT testing.

You can demonstrate experience in commission processing or payroll specialization. You have knowledge of General Ledger accounts and familiarity with accounting practices, processes & terminology, and a broad understanding of CIBC products and policies. It is an asset if you have specialized knowledge of FundServ specifications.
You can demonstrate a working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access.
