Our Team:
Fleet Services maintains and repairs City fleet and equipment, ensuring safety, integrity, cost effectiveness and protection of City assets. Our core services are preventative maintenance, repairs, life cycle management and critical service support.
The Opportunity:
The Fleet Administration/Parts position will support Fleet with administrative duties including ordering parts, material and fuel and will track inventory of ordered items within a Fleet Maintenance Software system.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate FMS (Fleet Maintenance Software) and Fuel Pump Inventory software system
- Order parts and supplies to replenish supplies
- Receive and sort incoming parts and supplies
- Use computer FMS to locate and track inventory parts and supplies ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Process invoices for ordered parts and supplies
- Process returns and warranty items
- Consult with Fleet to schedule parts needs to reduce equipment downtime
- Be willing to personally upgrade skills and knowledge to keep current with industry standards
- Perform other shop related tasks and maintain a well-organized parts room
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
You Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Class 5 drivers’ licence or higher
- Three years’ experience in a fleet environment
- Three years’ experience in a parts room environment
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of accepted work procedures of Fleet selection
- Must have a good working knowledge of safe work procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, with a working knowledge of databases for Fleet management and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good time management skills with the ability to quickly align with shifting priorities, work assignments and timelines
- Demonstrated ability to handle a variety of complex projects/tasks with competing priorities in a results-based environment

Additional Information:
This full time position consists of 40 hours per week and includes an comprehensive benefits and pension program.
