The Opportunity:
The Property Tax Representative is responsible for ensuring all property taxes are paid on a timely basis, and all client and investor inquiries are processed in a timely manner.
- Remit taxes in a timely manner according to all due dates provided by the cities
- Ensure that sufficient funds reside in the clients’ tax escrow account to cover tax payments when due and follow up with client to request additional funds when required
- Maintain direct communication with all cities across Canada regarding customer accounts
- Answer client or investor tax inquiries
- Update system files with proof that taxes are paid for clients who are responsible for their own taxes
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Supervisor
The Requirements Needed:
- Proven ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions
- Confident and assertive phone manner
- Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications and Adobe
- Post secondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
