Job Summary
The Human Resource Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) tools and processes are used to their full potential by auditing, reporting, and doing process improvement implementation. The incumbent collaborates with stakeholders and influences them to leverage the technology in place.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure data integrity in the HRIS system and understand the impacts of the data to our Human Resources (HR) reporting
- Perform internal process audits
- Measure current process performance and gaps
- Analyze root causes to establish appropriate and sustainable solutions to operational issues
- Improve processes, while training and coaching
- Oversee the daily operation of technology platforms
- Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess performance, perform analysis and produce reports
- Prepare presentation materials and reports to communicate to stakeholders
- Help maintain the integrity and reliability of the current system (e.g., security roles, group management)
- Participate in testing improvements or releases in the various HR information systems
- Contact vendors, internal stakeholders, or employees (current or future) when there are challenges to investigate situations and find resolution
- Collaborate with other HRIS team members, HR team, Information and Technology (I&T) groups and key stakeholders
- Participate in various HR Technology projects
Working Conditions
The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.
Requirements
Human Resources
- Between 5 to 7 years of experience with HRIS and administrative experience in HR
- Between 1 to 2 years experience using Tableau and or PowerBI*

Education/Certification/Designation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Cornerstone Certification*

Decision Making & Impacts
The Human Resources Operations Analyst is responsible to ensure that HRIS tools are used to their full potential by auditing, reporting, and doing process improvement. Although the role does not have direct high-level decision-making authority, the work itself influences on the systems and on the various Centers of Excellence (COE). The incumbent is authorized to make day-to-day analysis-related decisions. If an exceptional situation arises or if there is a challenge the Senior HR Operations Manager will be involved. The role ensures that the tools available to employees and to the HR team members are optimized.
Level of Interaction/Influence
The Human Resources Operations Analyst interacts with individuals internal and external to CN. Within the organization, the incumbent liaises with the different COEs, the HRIS team, I&T and various stakeholders on a regular basis and guides them toward best practices to ensure long-term viability of the tools in place. Across departments, the incumbent acts as the HR representative for audit and process optimization. Outside of CN, the position liaises with solutions vendors.
Employees Supervised/Organizational Structure
The Human Resources Operations Analyst reports to the Senior Human Resources Operations Manager and has no supervisory responsibility.
