As an Administration, Transportation & Compliance Assistant, You Will:

  • Assist with administrative functions including:
  • Payroll, creating requisitions, PO’s and work orders, uploading requisitions to OnBase, receive and process PO’s in JDE and OnBase
  • filing, photocopying, faxing or mailing
  • Organize and distribute monthly material requests
  • Provide back up for Scale, including operating scales (JWS), handle cash transactions, and run required reports
  • Carrier invoice processing in OnBase after dispatch review
  • AP Hauler invoicing distribution after dispatch review
  • Assist in maintaining carrier files
  • Administration of Public Engagement Committee (PEC)
  • Assist Manager of Transportation & Compliance where required and as available
  • May be required to update or create documents and/or spreadsheets
  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring:

  • Post secondary education in Administration considered an asset or transferrable experience and skills
  • JD Edwards & JWS Software experience considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills: a collaborative team player able to build relationships with co-workers, carriers, and other eternal providers as well as community members
  • Must be able to multitask, at times in a high stressed, fast paced environment
  • Be accurate and reliable in handling accounts and documents with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to deal with sensitive issues in a confidential manner
  • Problem solving, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, work to timelines
  • A self-starter, able to set priorities and self-manage project assignments from start to finish
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends or holidays where required
