The Senior Policy, Planning and Performance Management Analyst works as a member of an impactful team providing leadership and expertise to the Deputy Ministry of Finance and Ministry Executive team in corporate planning.

The position ensures the Ministry successfully establishes and implements a sound and consistent approach to strategic, business, and operational planning, and bases strategic and operational decision-making on Ministry’s performance information.

The Senior Policy, Planning and Performance Management Analyst develops and implements accountability and performance management frameworks that meet government service planning and reporting expectations.

This includes playing a lead role with ministry-wide corporate performance management projects such as developing the Ministry’s Service Plan Report and internal facing Ministry Business Plan as well as other corporate reporting.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related discipline, such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, or Economics; AND a minimum of 2 years of recent, related experience in each of the following criteria; OR an equivalent combination of education and recent, related experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with strategic, business and/or operational plans.
  • Experience conducting research, analyses, and presenting this information.
  • Preparing options and making practical recommendations to senior decision makers.
  • Experience writing for senior officials, managing heavy writing workloads and producing quality work under challenging timelines.
  • Experience developing and facilitating meetings and/or planning sessions.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the above areas.
