Your role:
Part of the team of the department manager, track and wheel engineering-Agriculture, the person chosen will have as main mandates to supportthe development of new products for tracks and wheels as well as the
improvement of current products with associated cost reduction activities.
We need you for:
- Design and develop tracks and wheels for agricultural tractors;
- Actively participate in the innovation of our products;
- Support efforts to resolve current product issues with external and internal customers;
- Create and maintain strong relationships with clients;
- Develop risk analyzes and validation plans associated with design changes and lead design reviews;
- Develop and maintain a watch on the performance and durability of competing products on the agricultural market;
- Develop with the aim of improving one’s skills through various training courses offered by Michelin or externally.
What do you need to possess for being successful?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied sciences;
- You have a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience;
- You are a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or in the process of becoming one;
- You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken;
- You have a demonstrated ability to design through sizing calculations and to build a validation plan based on the DFMEA (FMECA) risk analysis;
- You are autonomous, naturally curious and interested in learning new things;
- You have proven knowledge of the tools and methods involved in process improvement and problem solving;
- You are available to travel outside the country if necessary approx. 10% of the time (mainly in the US);
- You are organized and have the ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously;
- You communicate effectively with peers, management and customers and work well as part of a team.
