Job title: Analyst, ServiceNow

Job description: ServiceNow is taking off at Suncor as we look to expand our platforms to allow for more seamless processes and integration across our business. We are launching major platform initiatives annually! We want you to bring your ServiceNow technical expertise, non-authoritative leadership and business analysis skills expertise to collaborate with internal partners and vendors to help us develop and administer our ServiceNow platform, and make system improvements that will drive value for our business.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Work with key partners, including our ServiceNow vendor support team, to ensure our service management tools and processes are effectively applied to meet business needs
  • Advise development teams of translated business requirements and ensure modules are fit for purpose; lead and/or provide coding support as required
  • Implement system upgrades, new modules, maintenance (enhancement/break fix), and ongoing support for our ServiceNow platforms
  • Evaluate and improve processes through the implementation of ITIL and industry best practices
  • Oversee and help coordinate ServiceNow development on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize and execute ServiceNow improvements
  • Help D&IT and the business with the visibility of their ServiceNow data through the use of dashboards and reports along with trending information over time
  • Capture requirements to help provide technical guidance
  • Assist with ServiceNow platform technical roadmap planning

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Eight years of IT experience, with at least three years of experience in ServiceNow administration or development
  • Knowledge of multiple ServiceNow modules (e.g. incident, problem, change, SLA, service catalog)
  • Proven non-authoritative leadership abilities and you work well independently
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills which enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Alignment with our

Preference for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma
  • An admin certificate in ServiceNow
  • Experience with the ServiceNow HR module

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are typically a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with some additional hours required occasionally to meet critical deadlines or schedules
