Summary
The Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the delivery of actions and targets in the CRD’s Corporate Asset Management Strategy. This includes monitoring and assessing asset management activities across the CRD and preparing corporate updates and report. The Asset Management Coordinator will work collaboratively with stakeholders on a multi-disciplinary team and report to the Manager, Asset Management.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates the development, monitoring, and reporting of the actions and targets in the Corporate Asset Management Strategy.
- Reviews corporate strategic plans and major projects to ensure their alignment with the corporate asset management program.
- Develops and maintains a roadmap to achieve the targets in the Corporate Asset Management Strategy.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders to identify data, resources, and tools required to advance asset management activities.
- Provides support to services to complete asset management plans based on corporate standards and guidelines, including identifying relevant grant opportunities.
- Leads and supports the completion of actions and targets within the Corporate Asset Management Strategy, as assigned.
- Prepares progress updates on the Corporate Asset Management Strategy for staff, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board.
- Identifies and develops relationships and collaborations with associations and communities of practice in asset management.
- Develops, implements and oversees project related scope of work, schedules and budgets.
- Applies project management skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Provides contract oversight and administration including overseeing, directing, and liaising with consultants.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to enhance asset management practices within the organization, including maintaining the corporate asset management SharePoint pages.
- Prepares written reports and presentations that can be understood by internal/external stakeholders.
- Follows all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years relevant experience developing and evaluating/monitoring a strategic program including working with internal and external stakeholders. An equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
- Certifications in asset management and project management are an asset.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
- Motivates, supports and empowers others to achieve organizational and corporate asset management goals.
- Highly developed problem solving, and consensus building skills, combined with the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and professional conduct in order to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
- Knowledge of asset management practices, climate mitigation / adaptation, risk management, and long-term planning.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and project oversight working with complex and diverse initiatives.
- Results-oriented, energetic team player, who is able to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of professionals and across multiple disciplines.
- Ability to conceptualize and analyze problems from different viewpoints and utilize big picture thinking with a service-oriented mindset.
- Excellent writing, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to facilitate work of interdepartmental team; including influencing, seeking and providing advice.
- Proficiency and experience in word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), presentation (MS PowerPoint), and content management (MS SharePoint) software.
- Understanding of a geographic information system (GIS), such as ESRI ArcGIS.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
