Job description: We’re looking for an energetic and capable candidate to join our team for the position of Assistant Hotel Manager located in beautiful Kelowna, B.C.
We are looking to appoint a full time assistant manager with a friendly personality and an excellent customer service focus. The regular shift for this position will be in the evenings. Must be able to work weekends
The assistant manager will work closely with the hotel manager and owners, forming a dynamic management team to continue the success of the hotels.
Main Duties:
- Assist with overseeing all hotel operations including staffing, scheduling, housekeeping, maintenance, and front desk
- Effectively deal with customers, co-workers and owners to ensure smooth operation of the whole business and property
- Perform front desk duties including check ins and departures
- Enforce policies and procedures
- Assist in recruitment and training of new front desk staff
- Resolve customer complaints
- Assist the team to ensure that all goals are met on a daily basis
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year accommodation experience
- Demonstrated time management and leadership skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Familiarity with hotel software reservation systems
- Must be familiar with MS Office (especially Excel)
- Current BC driver’s licence
- Familiarity with the hotel and hospitality act an asset
- Must be able to pass criminal record check
