Job description: JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring that dining room tables are cleared and properly maintained before, during, and after each seating. Works with food servers to provide assistance with non-alcoholic beverage service and obtains service items from storage as needed. Inventories and requisitions supplies kept at bus stations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Carries dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen.

Wipes table tops and chairs with damp cloth.

Replaces soiled table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware.

Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room.

Supplies service bar with food such as soups, salads, and desserts.

Serves ice water and butter to patrons.

Cleans and polishes glass shelves and doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns and cream and milk dispensers.

Makes coffee and fills fruit juice dispensers.

Sweeps and mops floors.

Support and maintain the company courtesy guidelines

Promote outstanding guest relations

Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Previous Food Service Experience

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Basic English.

Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
