On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Change Management Specialist for a 12 month role in Edmonton, Alberta.

Change Management Specialist Responsibilities

  • Methodology
  • Contribute to the development of the clients CM methodologies, processes and tools to apply on projects/initiatives as well as across the organization based on the direction set by the Leader of OCM.
  • Utilize previously established CM methodologies, approaches and processes; ensure that tools are consistently applied.
  • Provide input and collaborate on the development of the OCM tactical plan and deliverables as per established and approved the clients OCM strategy.
  • Delivery
  • Deliver and execute Change Management services as Change Management Lead on assigned organizational projects and initiatives. In this capacity, act as an integrator and facilitator of cross-functional change process with key service delivery partners (e.g. Communications, Training, Corporate Efficiency, HR and Support); acts as a project manager for the people side of change.
  • Work with the Executive Sponsor of initiatives to confirm vision and provide support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service delivery partnerships (Leadership Development, Learning & Development, Communications, Operational Efficiency and Support, PMO and IS).
  • Support and coach leaders in communicating changes to employee groups.
  • Support and work closely with the Change Management Lead.
  • Provide input and assist in the development of the CM project plans.
  • Develop tactical plans for implementation.
  • Coordinate design, development and implementation of various project deliverables as per project change management plans and assessments.
  • Collaborate closely and coordinate with other organizational partners to ensure effective change management processes. Ensure key messages are being shared with impacted stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the design, development as well as implementation of required people support approach and requirements for implementation of projects/initiatives.
  • Develop all CM project materials as it relates to sponsorship engagement, impact assessment meetings, readiness assessment surveys, support model, transition plans, and any change management related communication.
  • Assist and/or lead meetings with leaders, impacted stakeholders, project teams, etc.
  • Design and facilitate workshops and/or stakeholders’ interviews for change readiness and impact assessments.
  • Analyze and synthesize qualitative data. Develop reports and present to project owners/sponsors and key organizational leaders.
  • Provide insight and recommendations based on information collected at various points during the project.
  • Develop reports, handouts and other materials for presentation to project teams, executive leadership, senior leaders, OCM team, etc.
  • Team Development
  • Engage in professional development opportunities when available or required.
  • Seek out coaching and mentorship opportunities from other OCM team members as well as key change management partners.
  • Stay connected and continuously engaged to understand the clients business environment, key constraints, and challenges as well as organizational direction for the future.

Change Management Specialist Mandatory Skills

  • 3-5 years’ experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, especially with mid to large-scale organization change is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge, understanding and experience in organizational change management principles and methodologies and organizational effectiveness methods and tools required.
  • Experience with change management tools such as ADKAR and Prosci certification is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization using a variety of communication styles.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization, from the field to leadership, relationship management and credibility skills.
  • Ability to deliver tactical components of the change plans.
  • Education and Training:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology and/or Organizational Behaviour, Organizational Development is preferred
  • Licenses/Certificates:
  • Certification in Change Management.
  • Prosci certification is an asset.
  • Professional designation is an asset (e.g. CCMP, CMC, PMP, etc.).
  • Change Leadership certification and experience is an asset.
