Infosys is seeking a SQL Server DBA. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.

Preferred Qualification :
- 4 years of experience in MS SQL Database administration.
- Installation, Administration and Maintenance of SQL Server Instances.
- Experience in working on SQL Server Farms, SQL Server failover clustering.
- Good understanding and hands on experience on Database high availability concepts, like SQL Server Cluster, Always on, DB Mirroring, Log shipping and Replication, Backup and Restore.
- SQL Tuning for performance improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages/issues as they occur, including after-hours and weekends support.
- Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors, developers and application owner.
- Finding DMV queries to answer questions about server-level performance.
- Analysis Services, Integration Services, or Reporting Services.
- On-call troubleshooting on production SQL Server environment.
- Participate in Technical Meetings with Team and Client.
- Analyzing and troubleshooting complex business and technical issues.
- Ensure operational and system documentation is created and maintained.
- Participate in incident, problem and change management activities for MS SQL DBA.
- Participate in Knowledge Management with the objective of ensuring the highest levels of service offerings to clients in own technology domain within the guidelines, policies & norms.
- Experience in interfacing with Culturally Diverse team spread across time zones.
- Understanding of Oracle / DB2 Admin would be a plus
