Job description: Our client, an award winning and civically minded company is seeking a knowledgeable, and detail oriented Controller to join their growing organization, based in London, Ontario.
As the Controller, you will be responsible for the effective oversight of all aspects of the accounting department including; budget management, regulatory and financial reporting. You will act as a commendable leader, by offering input and guidance to accounting/financial and HR support staff while ensuring the timely and accurate completion of finance duties such as bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
As a collaborative Controller, you will plan, direct, and coordinate the accounting/operational functions for the company while assessing all current accounting operations and processes for potential improvements. As a proven financial leader, you will have accountability for executing and presenting financial reporting including the preparation of financial statements, management reports, financial analysis, recommendations, quarterly & year end results, and forecasts.
With attention to detail, you will review, and analyze overruns in project budgets and make recommendations regarding the reallocation of funds while providing solutions for potential variances and discrepancies.

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you will have:
- 5 years experience as a Controller
- Previous management experience
- Industry experience is an asset.
- QuickBooks experience
- Excellent computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, legislation and management
