Job description: COORDINATOR, MARKETING

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing the Coordinator, Marketing will support the development and implementation of a variety of brand, marketing and advertising campaigns, focused on building TIFF’s brand and supporting five key organizational priorities: Festival, New Releases, Cinematheque, Special Events and digital TIFF Bell Lightbox.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinating and executing on brand, marketing and advertising campaigns across print, out-of-home, digital, video, e-mail, web and event marketing channels
  • Coordinating TIFF’s year-round and Festival digital and in-cinema pre-shows
  • Preparing creative campaign and asset briefs for internal creative teams
  • Overseeing creation and delivery of campaign assets and internal workflows to ensure timelines, budgets and objectives are met
  • Liaising with external vendors and coordinating with internal teams to gather supporting Marketing details such as quotes, estimates, specs, asset delivery dates, etc.
  • Preparing marketing support decks and post-campaign reports to share with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring all audience-facing materials have been reviewed and approved by the Marketing department to ensure brand and marketing standards have been met
  • Supporting the development of promotional, influencer and cultural community partnerships
  • Coordinating contests and promotions for TIFF, including partner activations
  • Tracking campaign and departmental expenses

Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A post-secondary degree/certificate in marketing, business, or communications (preferred)
  • 2 years marketing experience, with a focus on execution of integrated marketing campaigns
  • Previous experience working in an arts & culture and/or film environment is considered an asset
  • Previous experience working with cultural community outreach is considered an asset
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders both internal and external (programming, community partners, management, internal departments etc.)
  • Excellent written, oral and visual design skills required to communicate effectively with TIFF audiences and cross-functional teams
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take on new projects and adapt to evolving departmental initiatives
  • Proficient knowledge of marketing industry standards including: marketing and advertising collateral, creative display, social media, event branding, direct mail, sizing, delivery, copy, rules, regulations, terms and conditions, etc
  • Proficient in MS Office, Trello, Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey (or equivalent platforms)
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • Strong passion and interest in the film and entertainment industry

Company:

Expected salary: $40000 – 45000 per year
